Rachel joined Becker with nearly 20 years of experience in educational leadership and a deep dedication to academic excellence and the holistic development of students. She is thrilled to integrate her passion for Judaism, learning, and working with children into her role at Becker. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State University, and completed her superintendent certification at Lamar University.
Her career includes diverse leadership roles, from serving as a principal at the campus level to a special education coordinator at the district level. Rachel’s expertise spans social-emotional learning, behavioral management, student inclusion, differentiated instruction, and the development of professional learning communities.
A strong advocate for equitable education, Rachel is committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education, regardless of their circumstances. Her dedication to literacy is evident in her efforts to provide books to all children, reflecting her belief in empowering young minds through reading.
Rachel is the mother of two boys, Eli and Ian, and is married to Philip, a high school science teacher. The family is an active part of Congregation Emanu El.
