Rachel, a native of Houston, Texas, holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston and a Master’s degree in counseling and development from Lamar University. Recently, she obtained her license as a Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Before assuming the role of Helfman’s School Counselor, Rachel taught Judaics to students in multiple grades at Helfman Religious School, where she skillfully cultivated a nurturing and imaginative environment for every student she encountered. Additionally, Rachel has served as a middle school teacher and a District Instructional Coach across various school districts and charter school programs.
Rachel is extremely excited to continue her work at Helfman as their School Counselor, dedicated to supporting and nurturing the relationships with students, staff, and families. She will continue to develop programs and offer ongoing social-emotional education to families. During her leisure time, Rachel finds joy in exploring new places, immersing herself in books, embarking on exciting adventures with friends, and attending sports events, such as Astros and University of Houston athletic games.
