Please join Sisterhood for a very special Women's Day! We will start with coffee and registration at 9:30 am, and the program will take place from 10 am–2 pm at Congregation Emanu El. The topic of our fascinating program is Health, and three prominent speakers will inform us of some of the most recent advances in medical technology and self-help.
Dr. Edward Reitman has been a practicing clinical psychologist for over 40 years. His topic is "It's All About You" and is about determining self-responsibility. Are you trapped in an unsatisfactory situation? If so, are you there by choice or by accident?
Dr. Amy McGuire is the Leon Jaworski Professor of Biomedical Ethics and Director of the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Baylor College of Medicine. She will discuss the potential benefits and risks of learning your genetic make-up.
Dr. Colin Barker is an interventional cardiologist at the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center at Houston Methodist Hospital. He will speak to us about current methods of treating diseases of the heart.
A charge of $20 includes lunch. Please RSVP by contacting the Sisterhood office at 713-529-5771, ext. 233 or via email at [email protected].
Checks may be made out to Emanu El Sisterhood, 1500 Sunset Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005.
