Join us as Rabbi Silk reviews The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem by Sarit Yishai-Levi. This fictional book tells the story of four generations of women -- members of a Sephardic family who experience life, love, and loss in the Moshe Yemen neighborhood of Jerusalem. The novel is "as sensuously infused with sights, sounds, and smells as a Jerusalem market, and as finely detailed and colorful as a Levantine tapestry." All book reviews are free and open to the community. Guests are encouraged to bring their own sack lunch for the daytime book reviews. Desserts are provided.
