What is the role of gratitude in our lives? Is forgiveness important? How do we present ourselves to the world? Who am I responsible for? What is my relationship with God, and who is the God I may or may not believe in?
In this class we will explore the big questions of life as refracted through the Jewish tradition. Using the IYUN program from Hillel’s Jewish Learning Fellowship, we will read — broadly and generously — traditional Jewish texts on conceptions of divinity, the inner life versus the public persona, the power of speech, community, and more.
Bring your lunch, we will provide dessert, beverages, and nourishment for your mind and soul.
Space is limited and priority is given to members of Congregation of Emanu El.
