Congregation Emanu El
Haroset! It’s a tradition. Most of us are used to cooking and eating the sweet apple, nut, cinnamon, wine concoction for Pesach, and in many families it is a way to include children in the “cooking” process. However, did you know that haroset actually has many different recipes depending on where you are in the world? Come get a taste of Haroset Around the World in this exciting adults-only workshop with Helfman cooking teacher, Lisa Brooks. You will get to make several different recipes, and will be given all the recipes to take home with you. You can make your own seders an evening of travel around the world, putting yourself in the shoes of others, not just our ancestors who were slaves in Egypt.
Lisa Brooks, an avid cook, has been a teacher at Helfman Religious School for more than 15 years. Come schmooze with friends, cook, learn, and enjoy a virtual passport through our palates as we prepare for Pesach.
In order to prepare, we ask that parents register online by noon on April 6.
