The Congregant of the Year Award, named in loving memory of Ernest Krautkopf, a long time Emanu El member and a devoted volunteer, is given to honor his commitment to Emanu El, the Jewish community, and to Judaism. Congregants honored as the Congregant of the Year share similar values – leadership, community and synagogue involvement, and a love of Judaism.
We invite the congregation to nominate deserving congregants for our 2024 award. Previous awardees include Susie Askanase, Marvin Barish, Noel Foreman, Steve Moskowitz, and Linda Susman – to name a few. Click here to submit a nomination.
Nominations will be accepted through March 15. For additional information, contact Allison Hale, Programming & Engagement Associate at allisonh@emanuelhouston.org.
The award dinner will be followed by our 2025 Annual Meeting.
