  • 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Adult Education Session – Understanding Moral Injury through stories in Genesis
Recent historic events in our nation and around the world have left many people feeling that the moral assumptions upon which they had always relied have been significantly challenged or destroyed, resulting in what some experts call moral injury.  Moral injury is the harm that results from perpetrating, experiencing, or witnessing acts that transgress deeply held moral beliefs and expectations.  Come learn with Rabbi Nancy Wiener, one of the leading Jewish thinkers on moral injury and pastoral care, and explore how stories in Genesis help us understand moral injury more deeply and envision possibilities for healing.

Rabbi Nancy Wiener’s visit is supported by the Rozelle & Robert I. Kahn Scholar in Residence Fund.
